The keyboard has trackpad in it as the DeX has mouse support. like all electronics, there are fail rates. mostly small and obsolete, but every gizmo made has a % of failure rate, wether from assembly line workers taking off their gloves to scratch their nose, to who knows what!if you have two identical keyboards and one works flawless and the other is spotty, get rid of the spotty one!
