I would recommend that you go to the REFURB area of the Apple website. They have MacBooks priced from about $750 and up. These have been carefully looked over by Apple. And, they carry the SAME WARRANTY as the new MacBooks. Many, many diehard owners of Macs buy from the refurb store. You can also get decently priced iPods there. As well, the newly released MacBooks (now called MacBook Pros) start at $1,200 AND they are amazing. The battery life and new features are far above the white/black MacBooks. This includes an upgraded video card, iLife '09, much better screens, backlit keyboards, faster processors, etc. And, if you are a full-time college student you will get the educational discount. So, the $1,200 MacBook Pro is actually $1,100 AND it includes a free $100 printer AND it includes a free $229 iPod Touch. Great deal! So, if you are a student, definitely consider this option. You could even turn around and sell the iPod Touch and get $200 cash. So, you would be getting your new MacBook Pro for about $900.00!
1. Why doesnu2019t Apple have touchscreen laptops?
Sometimes Apple drags the industry kicking and screaming behind them as they (Apple) set new trends. Apple was the first to streamline laptop form factors by removing optical drives, full-size VGA/DVI/HDMI ports, Ethernet ports, etc., and many of those trends have found their way into PC laptops. Apple put a capacitive touchscreen in the iPhone when every other smartphone (except the LG Prada) used a resistive screen (Windows Mobile 6) or a trackball (BlackBerry) or something similar. Apple is being aggressive about supporting USB-C on their computers, to the point that that's ALL they support on their modern laptops. They created the tiny desktop (Mac Mini) that went largely uncopied until fairly recently. They revolutionized the all-in-one PC (LCD iMac). I could cite others.Every now and then, though, Apple will sit back and let the market shake out before they forge a path. For example, I think they did this with wireless charging: they wanted a dominant standard to emerge and evolve (that being Qi) before they supported it. They're doing it with wireless 5G, content to sit on the sidelines while many of their competitors are preparing to release 5G-capable phones, even though 5G doesn't exist yet in most parts of the US.I think touchscreen laptops (and touchscreen iMacs) are another one of these examples. Have you ever used a touchscreen laptop? If so, did you ever even touch the screen? They have little to no utility to the average person except on laptops where the screen can be folded back 270 degrees into "tablet mode". Touchscreen laptops and desktops are not ergonomic, not convenient, and not useful. I think Apple has known that for a long time, and that's why you don't see touchscreens in any of their PCs.Why doesn't Apple have touchscreen laptops?.
2. if my ipod has unrelated water damage will apple fix it?
Apple does not replace the water damaged ipods. However, there is a "cheat." Inside the headphone jack, there is a little square that in your case is maybe white or little red. This is the water sensor that trips and turns red if exposed to water. You can cover it with whiteout on a paperclip or putting a piece of paper and gluing it inside with a cotton swab I just read your edit about your strip not turning red, thats extremely lucky!! Well since you are under warranty, I would go the Genius bar inside the Apple store and tell them that the headphone jack is not working. They would not fix it, instead they would probably give a free replacement if they test it. What happened in my case was that they plugged in headphones and tested out my music on it, but then gave a free replacement ipod. I got mine replaced by the same procedure.
3. Which laptop is better; Apple Mac Or Sony Vaio?

4. Why is apple so expensive?

5. Customer Reviews: Tech21 Evo Endurance External Battery Case for Apple® iPhone® 6 and 6s Smokey/Black 46804BBR - Best Buy
I was super excited that tech 21 came out with a battery case. I love their products but I am not sure about this case. I do not like how bulky it feels and I get that it's literally an external battery on the back of your iPhone but it's heavy. I would rather have my elite case on. Instead I leave it charged and in my purse ready for use when I have no chargers around. This is great for pokemon go though!
