What youre probably picking up on is the subtle differences because of the change of race in the actors, which to mention again, saw a far wider diversity in the cast being hired to play various roles in TNG.So I guess you could say that their skin tones had a shift over time because the real world was slowly but surely becoming a better place

What gun laws were passed under the Obama administration?
The most damaging actions Obama has taken on guns have not been new laws passed by Congress but new ways of applying existing laws and u201ctweaksu201d to how they are enforced.Thousands of veterans have been deprived of their Second Amendment rights and the administration is trying to do the same to some people receiving Social Security benefits.Obama has decreed that individuals "in the business of selling firearms" register as licensed gun dealers, but has not defined what u201cin the businessu201d means. No one now knows how many guns itu2019s permissible to sell before being considered u201cin the businessu201d and it allows the BATF to pick and choose who they prosecute. After arguing that people who sell a u201clarge numberu201d of guns be considered dealers one recent White House press release now suggests it could be as few as two. Instead of prosecutions being based on law theyu2019re based on the whim of a notoriously corrupt agency.
Obama Executive Order May Require Those Selling Even a Single Firearm to Become Licensed DealersObama banned the return to America of old U.S. military M1 Garand and M1 Carbine rifles from WWII and Korea. These rifles are of great interest to shooters, reenactors, and collectors, and of absolutely no interest to criminals.
Obama has relaxed HIPPA privacy laws and made it possible for healthcare providers send medical information to the government without a patientu2019s consent, to remove u201cunnecessary legal barriersu201d protecting privacy. He has made the already onerous rules even more so for law abiding people buying already highly regulated NFA firearms and suppressors. So you see, even though Obama has not been able to get new gun control laws through Congress as required by that pesky Constitution, it hasnu2019t stopped him from, wellu2026.

How and why did General Longstreet and the brilliant General Robert E. Lee differ so much on the Confederate battle plans for the last day of the Battle of Gettysburg?
Lee didnt want to withdraw; he wanted to stay put he thought there was still a chance to defeat the Union and put an end to this blasted war.
He thought his men were invincible and could do anything he asked them to do.
They hadnt gained much in the past 2 days, but they were still there, and morale was still very high.Longstreet wanted to get out of Gettysburg and threaten Washington DC - and fight on ground THEY chose to fight on.
He tried pointing out the problems ..
General, no 15,000 men can take that ridge
I dont believe my men will make it that far.But with Lees absolute refusal to leave, they had one choice left.
Now, to you and me, marching across open ground for about a mile while under guns of enemy sounds like a completely insane move.Gettysburg doesnt really make a whole lot of sense until you look at it from a military standpoint with the tactics of the day.Day 1: attack from different directions and hope you rout the enemy.
(Confederates attacked from 3 different directions;
Union did retreat, but now they have the high ground)Day 2: Attack the flanks (ends of lines) and roll up the enemy that way
(but the attacks were not coordinated - aka attacks didnt occur at same time; majority of attacks failed)Day 3: with Lees absolute refusal to leave, they had one choice left:
attack the center of the Union line and hope they could roll up the Union Army that way.Lee trusted Longstreet, even though he didnt think it would work.Historians like calling it Longstreets Assault because Longstreet was the actual planner.
The rest of us still call it Picketts Charge .. because Picketts men were the freshest troops on the field and were leading the assault. But things were against Confederates from the start and went downhill.

Why do some people say that Alexander was defeated by Porus?
Simply because some people lack self-confidence and try to reinterpret a branch of human knowledge to bolster their pathetic self-esteem. Even when the tool is used for political motives, it simply attempts to tap into the lack of self-esteem among a section of people. Challenges to established narratives are good but such challenges should be substantiated by sound reasoning which unfortunately, is not the case with the theory in question.
The whole argument that Alexander was defeated by Porus is based on the claim that Alexander didnt venture further into India and allowed Porus to continue to rule. Anybody with even an iota of historical knowledge and critical reasoning will tear the argument to shreds. Alexander had a tough time defeating Porus but, unless some new historical evidence (not historical fiction or keyboard warriors) suggests otherwise, he defeated Porus. Letting Porus rule as a representative is fairly coherent with the narrative of Alexanders conquests. On the other hand, the act of taking his time and choosing a difficult desert route for returning to Persia, when he could have simply gone with the larger portion of his army via sea, doesnt make sense unless Alexander was victorious. There are other arguments that can be made to substantiate the theory that Alexander won and hardly any to suggest otherwise.
This phenomenon of deliberate erroneous reinterpretation of events and circumstances to suit ones end is dangerously on rise across the globe. Further, it is not a new idea as well. The whole argument of white mans burden and civilisation mission that was used by European nations to colonise the world was one such example. Another example can be found in the way female / male chauvinists subject data and biological sciences to torture to prove their point. The same reinterpretation is at the heart of the claims that XYZ religion predicted all modern scientific discoveries, that exploitation based on Indian caste system had nothing to do with the so-called upper castes, etc
