Its an overall crushing kind of feeling. You get smothered with affection towards someone, often someone who doesnt like you back, or may not even know you exist.Your confidence may get crushed, after attempting to go after your crush, you may start to blame yourself that they dont like you(please dont, its not your fault, liking people is mostly random(usually about pheromones)).
It crushes your overall view of people. You start to see them as the ideal person, and you dont look at anybody else as potential options.Your thoughts get crushed.
You can pretty much only think about that person.Crushes suck. All my friends agree.
Like I said, most of the time it isnt bi-directional. Usually, its just one person crushing on the other. Although, sometimes you do have the occasional situation where both people have a crush on each other, or the slightly less rare situation where one person has a crush on the other, while the person being crushed on likes the other.
But, if you do have a crush, try asking your crush out. It hurts a lot more to wonder and hope and wish, etc. than to be rejected.
Trust me, Ive been through it

When you pass someone on the street, do you like saying u201cHiu201d to people or would you prefer to stay silent?
Do you like it when people say u201cHellou201d to you or do you prefer that they stay silent?
Format of the question when I answered it: When you pass someone on the street, do you like saying Hi to people or would you prefer to stay silent? Do you like it when people say Hello to you or do you prefer that they stay silent?
Im from Texas and the South, which is a little more cordial than some parts of the country. I live in a suburb of Houston now. Still, it depends on the context.
If Im walking on a sidewalk downtown, I will say and do nothing, unless I know the person, in which I will do as in the following situation. If Im walking in my neighborhood, I will probably do nothing more than give eye contact with a slight nod of my head. If I know the person, I will probably say, Hows it going?
If Im driving, it also depends on the context. If Im driving within any medium to large sized city, I will do nothing unless I recognize them, in which case I would probably wave my hand if they happen to look towards me.If Im driving in a small town or out in the country, and particularly when on a Farm-to-Market or Ranch-to-Market road, I will generally raise my hand in a slight wave.
Ive yet to master the nonchalant way the locals do that, though

Is it appropriate for a 17-year-old boy to date a 15-year-old girl?
I have enjoyed all of the answers that ask the question What gives you the right to stop her from dating anyone?Parenting a responsibility.
It is your job to raise happy and healthy children in a safe and nurturing environment, until they are legally adults. In most places, that is between 18 and 21 years old. The Quorans demanding freedom for the 15-year old girl are correct when they state if you try to stop her, she will just date him anyway.
So, my advice is this: let her date the boy, under the following conditionsIn order for your daughter to pursue dating, she must maintain good grades and be involved in one athletic activity year-round. Preferably one associated with her school (school athletics has been shown to improve a young womans performance in academics). You will meet the boys parents before any dating begins.
You will exchange phone numbers with them and try to get to know them socially. She must let you know where she is going to be throughout the date. Every time.
Feel free to verify at your leisure. You or your spouse will always drop her off and always pick her up from any date. Feel free to show up 15 minutes early to pick her up, every time.
I am sure you see the logic in these simple rules. If she breaks them, ground her to school activities and home. Its important to trust your children to do the right thing.
Its also important to PARENT your children.

How do I write quality content?
If you write quality content, the search engine will help more your website to get exposure.
Google do not like duplicate content. So you need to write great content on your blog or website. Here are some tips that you need to keep in mind while writing content:Create original content: Original content goes along with google.
Original means uniqueness, your content should not be copied from anywhere.Always focus on creating strong headlines: A good headlines creates interest and invites readers.Make your content actionable: Best content gives the user an understanding of how to use to information and where to apply it.
Always be able to provide answers: When user use a search engine, they ultimately want an answer. People dont just want answers, they want answers fast. Always make your content easy to scan, so that people can pick up the important points quickly.
Be accurate in your reporting and source of information: The blog which you write is the reflection of your company. If there is any issue with the blog, it has a great impact on how people view your products. So, write the accurate content as accuracy builds trust with readers.
Communicate in a better way by adding image and videos: People have the different way of learning, some people learn by seeing, while other learn by listening. Use pictures, videos and diagrams, they can help to illustrate your point.Write short and pointed content: Never focus on word count.
Writing the brief, to-the-point blog post or article is much better than this

What are some of the best ways of learning anatomy and physiology (first year medical student)?
First year in medical school taught me a lot, and Iu2019m sure that you will say the same thing when you move to the second year. It made me more consistent, which is a very important skill to acquire no matter which subject you are struggling with.
So before you do other recommendations, make sure you become more productive throughout the day by scheduling everything. I use Google Calendar and it helps a lot. Now, if you are studying from textbooks and you donu2019t find them useful, itu2019s time for you to change your habits and study from video lectures.
For me, it depends on subjects. For example, in physiology, textbook was enough (Costanzo), but in ETC and other subjects I put away the books and watched videos from Lecturio. Anatomy was quite mixed to be honest.
As we had very nice lecture notes, we didnu2019t really need to read textbooks, but many times, I needed to watch videos on lecturio and add some notes in First Aid from there. Lecturio is a very nice platform, as they divide lectures into the sections, so each video lasts for about 10 minutes. Definitely get the subscription now, because youu2019ll use it for the rest of your student life.
I highly recommend to do their Qbank as well. My exam questions are mostly USMLE step 1 adapted, so Qbank helps me a lot to practice with clinical questions

Why isn't functional programming the norm?
The popular features of functional programming have been normalised.
I learned functional programming in the 90s and at that time the big benefit of FP was presented as being higher-order functions. I didnt know at the time that C already supported higher-order functions; now most imperative languages have strong support for them. Quite a lot of languages now have the ability to use functional syntax if you want.
Optimising functional programs is very difficult. If an imperative program is running slowly or taking up too much memory, you can alter how it works at the lowest level. If a functional program is doing this, you have to reverse-engineer how the compiler is working and then bodge the functional code to change how the compiler handles it.
and often using those functions is intrinsically slow. Java is notorious for this - it now offers streaming and higher-order functions over lists, but they end up being slower than a simple manually written loop. Popular higher-order list operations like map, fold, find often have support right in assembly language.
Using a higher-order branching structure where these are conducted by jumping back and forth into and out of the higher-order function makes it harder for compilers to detect this and use that assembly support.Immutability is a good idea, but it isnt always necessary and it doesnt scale. The idea of avoiding changing data structures in place in order to provide thread safety is a good idea, but not all code is threaded, and copying data structures causes all kinds of memory issues after a while

I once met two French Canadian ladies on holiday and only one of them spoke English.
Is this common in the French speaking part of Canada?
Bonjourhi, as we say in Montral. I am a Quebecer/je suis une qubecoise.
I was born in Montral and have lived out my 70 years here. SoIt is the law in Qubec that businesses work in French, and be able to address all customers in French; all road signs are either in French or wordless; in advertising, English must be much smaller than the French; the current educational system for langue maternelle francophones provides very little efficacious English teaching; although there are English media, it is possible to live a life watching only French tv, reading French newspapers and listening to French radio, and attending spectacles totally in French. There is simply no need ever to speak English (except on holiday in the United States, of course).
It is therefore quite common to meet people in Montral who cannot speak English; and the rule, rather than the exception, to meet unilingual French-speaking citizens outside of the major cities.and, if you meet English-speaking people from Qubec, we are probably completely bilingual, and feel much more comfortable in the culture of Qubec than in any of the Canadian provinces to the west of us. Sometimes (just to be difficult) we speak only French when we happen to be in a unilingually English-speaking area.
So, yes, almost everyone from Quebec is unilingually French, or bilingual
