I see two queries here:Why is everyone in a relationship but me?Why is no one interested in me, and is my perception of othersu2019 interest predictive of my relationship outcomes? To the first: why is everyone in a relationship but you?
I mean, Iu2019m not in a relationship, and only about half of my friends are in relationships, and some of my friends are in quite a few relationships at the same time. I think itu2019s safe to say that you might be feeling like everyone is in a relationship because your new apartment is across the street from a famous couplesu2019 therapist and you work in the same building as the offices of Match.com.
Also, youu2019re forgetting to account for all of the people who definitely are in relationships and do not want to be. These are your garden variety people whose lives appear perfect but theyu2019ve actually got a real Big Little Lies thing going on; people who are living in the closet and obeying societyu2019s cruel rules so they can continue to experience love from the people whose love they do desire; people who are too comfortable or too afraid to try something else - I could go on and on.Now, if you were asking hyperbolically, thatu2019s a different question.
Let us examine the several reasons certain people, such as this auteur, are perpetually single:They might spend most of their time confined within certain mental limitations about what is and is not possible in life, from shooting people into space to having a civil conversation on the Internet. They think about relationships as a u201cstaticu201d status to be acquired, rather than fluid, confusing, dramatic, and generally wide-ranging types of ongoing interaction with every other person you encounter, whether on the Internet or in real life; They do not want to be held accountable to someone else, or, conversely, they only interact with people who do not have the capacity to hold someone else accountable for the impact of how they live their life. They have a very thick hide and their scales are not shiny, and so no one wants to mate with them in case their resultant hatchlings have indelicate thick hides and dull boring scales - this is definitely my problem, along with accidentally vomiting flames when Iu2019m worked up about something unimportant; They believe vaccines cause autism; They never ask anyone out.
The only way to resolve the problem of not knowing anyone worthy of the time you invest in a relationship is to go meet more people and be open to the possibilities they present. This will statistically increase your likelihood of success by enlarging your potential dating pool - as long as you are not a snob, mean, or- well, those two things donu2019t actually get in the way, so really you can be a total dingbat and I guarantee someone out there will be very, very into it. You just have to use a complicated algorithm involving social tools, internet relationship companies, and personalized recommendations from friends and family.
If you want something specific, volunteering is a great way to meet people organically, especially because it makes you seem like a good person (whether or not youu2019re actually a good person has very little to do with seeming like one). You can also try taking on more leadership or project-based roles where youu2019re working with interesting stakeholders and want to compromise your professional reputation with a little risk. I donu2019t encourage that, but hey, sometimes people feel dangerous, and itu2019s not like this question was about ethics.
Lastly, think about how you present yourself to others - not appearance-wise, but goals-wise. Are you sure you are making it clear that you would like to get to know someone better or to spend time with them? Do you ever appear closed off to advancing the conversation?
Ask your friends if youu2019re giving off signals that say u201cIu2019m fine by myselfu201d because I know a lot of people have to tell themselves that, and it suck. However, if you become absorbed in being tough and soldiering on, trust me when I say sometimes you might come off as impatient, anxious, or emotionally unavailable. If you are suffering from anxiety or so stressed about people disliking you that you canu2019t find the right words you want to say, there are lots of recommendations on this site to help with those skills.
Whatever the problems end up being - and by u201cproblemsu201d I mean, whatever causal factors are exacerbating the already difficult process of finding a suitable mate - you have to decide if theyu2019re actually detractors in your life or if being single is the result of something that you canu2019t afford to stop doing or are already trying to deal with, whether it is working too hard, suffering from anxiety, trying too hard to seem fine, never meeting new people, or the many other reasons there is always market share for yet another generic romantic comedy about the same seven things. Good luck!

Is the current Indian Cricket Team led by Virat Kohli which is going to face Australia in the four match Test Series in 2018 is better than the Team led by Sourav Ganguly in the year 2003?
The Indian team of 2003 were able to draw the test series whereas the Indian team of 2018 has a genuine chance of winning the test series and even if they win it I would still choose the former 2003 team as the better team.2003 Squad:Sehwag, Aakash Chopra, Sadagoppan Ramesh, Dravid, Sachin, VVS, Ganguly (C), Parthiv Patel (Wk), Kumble, Harbhajan, Agarkar, Irfan Pathan, Nehra, Zaheer Khan, Murali Karthik.2018 Squad:Kohli (c),Rahane ,Ashwin, Bumrah, Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Pant (wk), Parthiv Patel, Pujara, K.
L. Rahul, Shami,Ishant ,Rohit ,Prithvi Shaw,Hanuma Vihari, M Vijay, Kuldeep Yadav, Umesh Yadav.Batting:The 2003 batting line up has to probably be the best test batting line up ever for India.
We had a swashbuckling opener in Sehwag who has in his early teething stage in test cricket and was a literal nightmare for any bowler when he was on strike. Sehwag was ably supported by Aakash Chopra from the other end, donu2019t let Aakash choprau2019s numbers ( 180) in that series fool you into thinking he did little in that series, Aakash Chopra was the perfect opener in Australian conditions, he was holding up and tiring bowlers at one end while Sehwag was smashing it at the other end.The middle order was an Indian cricket fanu2019s wet dream.
The fab 4 at their peak made up the middle order. The best no. 3 in test cricket ( Dravid), the master batsman at no.
4 ( Sachin), the god of offside ( Dada) and a very very special nightmare of the Aussies ( Laxman). All 4 were technically sublime and not flat track bullies. The fab 4 ended up being the savior for the team in all 4 games.
The lower middle order had a young Parthiv who was elegant in his stroke play and could chip in with vital runs, with Irfan Pathan and Agarkar in the squad India even had the cushion of having two sporadic all rounders who could support the lower order. Now coming to 2018 Squad, India have gone in with two struggling openers and an inexperienced young opener. Murali Vijay and KL Rahul have been struggling for runs in overseas conditions and they can nowhere be compared to Sehwagu2019s prowess in opening the innings, even Aakash Chopra was more experienced in the domestic circuit.
The third makeshift opener Shaw is grossly inexperienced to be compared to any of them. The middle order of 2018 is as brittle as it can get barring Kohli. Kohli is only saving grace of the current batting middle order, he has proved himself to be as good as the Fab 4 or may be even better.
But where 2003 Squad really thumps 2018 is that the Fab 4 never fought a lonely battle, they worked well together in tandem. The onus was never on a single batsman whereas Kohli has a lot riding on his back with little help from Pujara ( poor overseas form ) , Rahane ( Sporadic brilliance), Rohit Sharma (accomplished nothing in Test cricket) and Vihari( Inexperienced). The fab 4 against Kohli and the fab 4 win the middle order comparison by a mile.
The lower middle order is fairly equal comparing Pant and Parthiv to begin with and taking Ashwin and Jaddu in comparison with Agarkar and Pathan could be a battle of equals.Bowling:The 2003 bowling line up was good but it really lacked the kick in the pace department. In the pace department, the spearhead Agarkar was never a threat with the new ball and he found his rhythm only when ball started to reverse, Zaheer Khan was not as threatening as we knew him later in career , this was the Zaheer Khan way before the county stint, Nehra lacked the pace to be threatening on Australian condition and Pathan was relatively less experienced.
The spin department was excellent with Kumble and Harbhajan with Kumble being the perfect in Australian condition owing to the extra bounce and pace he could generate from his height.2018u2019s bowling line up definitely holds edge over 2003. The pace department is where 2018 has seen a major improvement.
We have a steaming Bumrah bowling at 150km , a reloaded Ishant Sharma who is finally living up to the spearhead tag, a relentless Shami hitting the deck, Bhuvanesh kumar who can swing the ball both ways and a Umesh Yadav who is consistenly fast. This fast bowling line up can rattle any batting line up in the world. As for the spinners, it is an even match with Ashwin, Jaddu and Kuldeep .
Ashwin and Kuldeep both have a mystery in their bowling and have uncanny deliveries to bamboozle batsmen. Jaddu can be very handy once the rough starts appearing, he consistently hits the rough and can be dangerous in the second innings. Captains:Both Virat and Sourav are known for their aggressive ways of captaining the side, but Sourav was a captain who understood his team better than Virat.
His decision were erratic and sensible at the same time, making Viru open the innings, defeating the mighty Aussies earlier in 2001 make him a better captain than Virat. If not for Virat Kohli the batsman, Virat Kohli the captain would have been a poor captain. Virat Kohli makes up for all his follies in captaining with his god like batting and closes his mistake.
Every single time it has been his individual brilliance with the bat that has saved him the day, whereas Sourav could stay in a side on the merit of captaincy alone.Bottomline:Only the pace bowling department of 2018 can overshadow the 2003 squad, other than that 2003 was a dream squad and would be to tough to match. Mind it, 2003 team played against the ruthless Aussies in their prime and the 2018 Aussie squad is not even a shadow of its past
