She is just excited, no problems Just from now on, introduce her slowly to new people and to toys, Take the new toy, lay it down and walk away, let her introduce herself to it, and in time she will play and not even pay attention, and then she will not be scared. Lots of dogs pee from excitement, it is common.....you just have to train her to accept strangers slowly,....leash her, sit her by you when company comes over, talk to her, pet her, assure her it is okay, then slowly allow her to be off the leash...she will soon learn, hey new people to play with, no need to be scared... It does work, but will take lots of love and patience to get her out of it......socialize her every chance you get.
1. As an adult, are you ever jealous of kids today with all those awesome new toys?
Not at all jealous. I had a lot more fun as a kid than any child I know or know of
2. How much will a dog cost me each year or each month?
Two points with this. 1.) How are we meant to tell you without know where you live or currency? (For example, if you live in the UK and the prices are given in dollars, it could sound way more expensive). 2.) If you are not sure you can stretch your budget to afford a dog, you should not be considering it- dogs are not just the food and occasional treats/new toys they need; it's emergency vet care, basic vet care, situations you may not think about, a million different things you can not predict. I am not saying you can only own a dog if you are rich, but you sound like you are trying to squeeze a dog in- you should only get a dog if you are sure you can afford every possiablity.
3. How can I keep my cats from destroying my
keep them out of the room, give them something else to do (new toys etc.)
4. Do you ever sneak your baby new toys?
lol I dont have to hide buying things for my baby from my husband. But neither of us will spend more then we ought too so its not a big deal. I think most early use sippy cups have handles.
5. Monthly cost of a baby?
breast feeding if you can will defiantly save money, with my 3rd child am unable to breastfeed due to the medications I am having to take, and you would not believe the cost of formula, $15.00 a can and she goes through about 12 to 13 cans a month! I never tried cloth diapers, but I will list my monthly budget for baby diapers $40.00 formula $180.00 wipes $10.00 clothes $15.00 bath soaps and things 5.00 and I always budget in for Replacement bottles, binkies, and new toys as she grows. hope that helped a little good luck and congrats!
6. I plan to make a trip to the "store" for new "toys any suggestions on which to buy?
Whips and grips *wink*
7. Can I Help Cancer Kids Without Donating?
You may be too young to volunteer, but there are other things you can do. I require my volunteers to be 18, but get this question a lot from younger people. Here is what I give them for ideas they could do: *Have a drive through school for brand new toys, gift cards, or art supplies *Approach friends and family to gather supplies to create art kits (in a Ziplock bag, put some coloring sheets, crayons, stickers, foamies, pompoms, glue stick, etc.) *Collect travel sized toiletries (unused) for our comfort cart- a cart we keep stocked with shampoo, deoderant, etc. for parents to use, as they often end up in the hospital with their kids unexpectedly and do not have those things with them. We also keep sippy cups and bibs in it, as well. *Join us for our annual walk-a-thon *Collect gently used DVDs and video games They all involve donating, but not directly from you, but you would be gathering the things. Our patients spend long days in clinic (outpatient treatment) and when admitted to the hospital. Art supplies, video games, toys and movies make the days go by faster. We also use the gift cards and new toys to give as presents to kids when they are in on their birthdays or as a reward for a really tough and painful procedure. Another thing you could do would be to make blankets. We go through a lot of these! I have a bunch of groups who make the no sew fleece blanets (you can find directions online.) The fleece MUST be new and must be washed. The blankets are one-time use... the patient uses it in the hospital/clinic and takes it home. Hospital blankets are kind of scratchy and not nearly as fun as fleece blankets. This is to protect our patients due to privacy, infection control, and safety reasons.
