Why Was Harry Potter Attracted to Ginny Weasley? at First, He Simply Saw Her As Ronu2019s Little Sis

Theres a very intriguing theory which Ive heard about, from my friends at the HP meetup group in London. Harry only begins to display attraction towards Ginny from Book 5 onwards, after he commences his occlumency lessons with Snape. Why might this be the case?

Snapes occlumency lessons only make Harrys scar hurt more, making his mental/spiritual link to Lord Voldemort via the Horcrux embedded in his scar more pervasive and more easily accessible. Why might this be? Mostly likely, Snapes true assigned objective was to do precisely this- Lord Voldemort showed in Book 1 that he couldnt handle being inside Harry or Harrys mind, so the most logical thing to do would be to utilize the link, increase it and exploit it to its maximum potential.

Which Harry subsequently does, over the course of the last three books; its the key to his eventual victory, the only thing which made the Horcrux hunt possible, and enabled him to defeat Lord Voldemort. Why is this relevant to this question? Because its from this point in Book 5 onwards that he begins to be intrinsically sub-consciously drawn towards the other Horcruxes, to be inherently attracted to them like a moth to a flame, and to exhibit limited empathic/telepathic abilities with the other sentient, living Horcrux- capable of tapping into Naginis thoughts, emotions and senses.

Nagini and Harry are the only sentient, living full Horcruxes of Lord Voldemort. And thats where Ginny comes in. In Book 2, she came within a few seconds of being taken over, being completely possessed and having her soul/self over-written entirely, by the first Horcrux which Lord Voldemort ever made- the one which logically would have housed the largest shard of his soul.

That Horcrux, Tom Riddles diary, was destroyed by Harry- but the soul fragment housed within it had been in mid-transfer at the time, to a new host vessel- Ginny. And logically, that would have had a permanent impact, with at least a fragment of that soul fragment remaining within Ginny permanently from then on. This means that Ginny effectively became a partial semi-Horcrux.

And what are the implications of this? Why does Harry Potter starts feeling this inexplicable, inherent attraction towards Ginny Weasley, who hed either never noticed or dismissed repeatedly prior to this, in Book 5? Why is it that he only really starts to empathize with her, becomes conscious of Ginnys thoughts and feelings, and starts to feel a connection with her on a intrinsic, personal level, immediately after commencing his occlumency lessons with Snape?

Why does the awakening of Harrys feelings and empathy towards Ginny coincide precisely with the awakening of his latent ability to sense the thoughts and feelings of Nagini? The answer, according to our theory- its because his sub-conscious, latent attraction to Ginny has the same root cause as his sub-conscious, latent attraction to the other Horcruxes- its only natural for the fragments of a fractured soul to gravitate towards one another, and theyll never feel whole or complete unless theyre bound together again, til death do they part. And while Ginny isnt a true Horcrux, with the small fragment of Voldemorts fractured soul within her too incomplete to form its own consciousness and sentience, its still there inside of her, just like those inside all of the full Horcruxes.

Harry starts to be magnetically attracted to Ginny from this point (with Ginnys little crush also escalating to full-blown love at around the same time), because theyre true soul-mates- courtesy of Lord Voldemort, and the connection between the two of them facilitated by the shards of Lord Voldemorts split soul, which they both host within their bodies. However, because they arent incapable of love in the manner that Voldemort was (and presumably that Nagini was), rather than manifesting in the form of irrational obsession or fixation upon one another, as was the case between Lord Voldemort and Harry, the connection between the fragments of his soul within Harry and Ginny respectively manifests in a very different way. In the form of unconditional, seemingly inexplicable emotional attachment, empathy, mutual compassion and affection for one another; aka, true love

Why did Hindu empires like Vijayanagar and Maratha collapsed?

Hello sir. While reading history, anyone with decent knowledge tends to realize that there are certain patterns which repeat themselves. If these patterned faults are not corrected, then collapse of any civilization or empire is imminent.

Vijayanagar or the Maratha empire is no different. Infact both of these Legendary kingdoms are very similar. Both these empires were started by young upstarts who were seen as rebels( Hari Hara and Bukka raya for Vijayanagar and Shivaji Maharaj for Maratha empire)Both these empires rose like shining ray of hope against the tyrant oppressors ( Maratha from the Mughals and Vijayanagar from the Tughlaq Dynasty)Both of these empires were hell bent against invaders (Maratha against the Mughals and Vijayanagar against Bahamani sultanate)So, it's no surprise that their demise is also similar in many ways.

Let's tackle Vijayanagar empire first:Obviously Battle of Talikota was one of its major setback. The empire's trust in the disloyal Gillani brothers, along with a king who thought he was too great to be defeated, cost them their capital.People overstate that battle of Talikota was a large defeat of the vijayanagar Empire.

Yes it was a sad defeat but by no standards the final one. Infact most of the empire was still intact as only Hampi was burnt to the ground and the new king had formed the capital at pendukotta. What really defeated Vijayanagar was the lack of belief in unity between different smaller kingdoms under it.

( India still suffers from same problem)The Keladi Nayakas and Madurai Nayakas along with many other Nayakas formed their own kingdoms. These small kingdoms were more like a loose coalition than a unified group. But despite their initial differences, they will end up having a significant impact on Indian history.

As these small kingdoms were much adept at handling problema by themselves, why would they lend their loyalty to an older empire? That too which just lost a major battle against the Bahamani sultanate. And so by 1640 Vijayanagar empire was no more.

Mistake: Easily trusting those that were not deserving. Being overconfident over past victories. Not maintaining control on smaller fiefdoms.

The fall of Marathas:This great Empires fall is also strikingly similar. Their Pyhricc battle against the Durrani empire in panipat was again a major setback on their Northern expansion. But again people over emphasize this defeat without realizing that within ten years Delhi was under Maratha control once again.

So how did this empire fall? They were just as aggressive as when they started, unlike Vijayanagar they weren't on the defensive. They were completely on offensive against the invaders.

Here lies the major problem. They started off so great along with the other hindu communities such as the Rajputs, the Nayakas, the jats, etc. But by 1750s, they were demanding hefty payments against their allies, and ravaging the land if not being paid.

making enemies where there were none. This was one of the biggest reasons why Rajputs and Jats did not help Marathas that much in panipat. And yet Marathas were still strong.

Even the British were noticing that no other empire in entire subcontinent was as strong as the Marathas. So where did the problem lie?Technology and administration.

The soldiers of Marathas were one of the most hardcore of all in medieval India. They still had the spirit of those warriors that were being led by kings like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. But their local rulers were far too busy in wasting time on fruitless ventures.

The knights would leisure around as their surrounding smalled kingdoms capitulated against the British. And before they knew it, the Marathas were surrounded by their enemies, who had better technology and better generals. Mistakes: Too overconfident.

Not upgrading. Elitist attitude of the local rulers. Not fostering better relationship with old allies.

So we can say, overconfidence actually can destroy you completely.Thank you.P.
