Evolution is not goal-directed. There is no force or pressure to evolve towards greater intelligence or any other goal you are likely to identify.Every gene behaves as if it has a goal to replicate itself, but for every gene, the vast, overwhelmingly most likely method used is just the one that was used by its ancestors.

We consider intelligence to be central to our success and to what it means to be human, and we now know that the theory of evolution can explain the long sequence of events that led to our evolution as an intelligent species. But that explanation never needs to state that at some point in the past evolution tried to optimize our intelligence.To a large degree, we became more intelligent through a long series of fortunate coincidences.

Dinosaurs became successful at surviving and replicating without any (or at least most) of those coincidences. They did have a very primitive brain, but that brain served their needs well enough that there was never significant evolutionary pressure to favor a more intelligent brain

He mentioned about plogging in his speech during Swachh Bharat speech on the 2nd Oct. He showed in action this time.So drama for self promotion but well done!

Gender.Now this is a word that is in a stage of transition for many conventional people out there. For a long time our gender has just been representing our genitals.

It was confined to our physicality.So when you ask anybody Whats yours gender? , you are basically asking What genitals do you have?

The only way doctors decide whether its a girl or a boy is by having a look at their genitals! And thats it! You got a label forever.

But the word Gender has grown with time. Its not about your body anymore. Its about how do you feel about your body.

Its about what do you want to be. Its about taking a control over your body and then deciding what your gender is.Gender is no longer a stereotypical physical term.

Its more of a psychological term now. It has grown with time and has found its true meaning.Its time that we decide our gender and our genitals dont.

Its easy to think birds and dinosaurs are two drastically different kinds if you think dinosaurs look like this:when you should actually have this in mind:Anyway, a degree of similarity based on superficial characteristics of subjective importance is not what is going to define whether a type of animal belongs in X group or not, but descent.

We know that Aves is just one the many branches of the tree Dinosauria. And we know it since the 1860s.* Whether or not they look sauropods is as irrelevant as whether or not bats look like whales.

A bat is as much mammalian as a whale is, and birds are as much dinosaurian as sauropods are. They have everything they need to have to be considered dinosaurs.*There was a five decade period in the 20th century in which most paleontologists thought birds didnt evolve from dinosaurs because they incorrectly assumed dinosaurs didnt have wishbones and couldnt have re-evolved them, even though they *did* have wishbones.

Anyway, the Dinosaur Renaissance of 1969 and beyond changed this idea and it is now universally accepted that birds belong in clade Dinosauria

Having lived in this world long enough, Ive seen a number of problems.

Same sex marriage is just not one the problems Ihat I see.to the people that believe that the purpose of marriage is for a man and woman to come together to create a family, that is an idealized view of the world. There are many broken down families, dead beat dads, worthless women, etc that cause the failure of the family.

There needs to be some place for children than an orphanage or a shitty family. There is adoption and there is foster care. There are lots of good men and women that cant have children that would make good parents.

I know several. The fact that it is two guys or to women, I dont have a problem with it.to the people of the LGQT community that want to be militant and get in my face while I am just walking by.

Who's the better classic rock band (in your opinion), Led Zeppelin or Rush?

For me the answer has to go by awareness. I know a lot of Led Zeppelin songs as led Zeppelin songs. I know a lot of Rush songs as random songs I heard on the radio without knowing who performed them.

Thus to me Led Zeppelin is the better classic rock band. Notice the weakness in my judgment. Its a judgment of how well a band did publicity that I noticed.

Led Zeppelin was famous for doing interviews about how they released albums after the end of their tours. Bands with short term popularity would release an album then do a tour pushing that album. There isnt actually any difference in timing as its a cycle anyways.

The difference is in the interviews! Led Zeppelin depicted themselves sort of like a studio band that sometimes showed up on concert tours.Im aware that Rush did a lot of songs I recognize.

I wonder if I knew their material AS their material I would think they were the better band. But they did interviews for shows and magazines I didnt follow. Much less of their publicity reached me

What uncommon event led to your disease diagnosis?

Blood tests done because I was nauseated, not hungry and excessively tired recently revealed I had some strangely high liver enzyme values (one value that has a normal maximum of 40 was over 1,000) and a very low potassium level.
